Broderick is a consummate community volunteer, dedicated to assisting and improving the lives of those who are less fortunate. Broderick has over 30 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry. Broderick previously served as the Executive Director of the NBC Community Development Corporation. In February of 2019, he was elected by the Board to serve as President of the Organization. In this role, Broderick manages and oversee's multiple projects and programs created and developed to improve overall health in Wyandotte County, Kansas. He also serves to lead the NBCCDC into fulfilling it's mission in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area.
Broderick’s experience includes roles as Community Health Director for NBC CDC, Supervisor, Ancillary Services for Saint Luke’s Internal Medicine and Clinic Supervisor for KU Infectious Diseases as well, as the Clinic Supervisor of The Heart Clinic. Mr. Crawford has worked tirelessly to improve outcomes, understanding and relationships between Health Care Professionals and the communities they serve.
Broderick serves on numerous community boards and committees including Wyandotte County(WyCo) Community Health Assessment Steering Committee, WyCo Community Health Improvement Plan Health Access, Education/Jobs & Violence Prevention Workgroups, Latino Health for All, WyCo Sexual Assault prevention (WYCO-SAP), Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault(MOCSA), WyCo Healthy Communities Wyandotte (HCW) Infrastructure Action Team & Fetal Infant Mortality Review Action Team, Jersey Creek Trail Renovation & Expansion Team, Kansas City Regional Community Health Worker(CHW) Collaborative Executive Committee, Sustainability and Advocacy Committees and Kansas CHW Coalition Executive Committee and Advocacy Committee
Broderick also serves on several boards and committees related to research including; University of Kansas Center for Community Health and Development Youth Violence Prevention, Every Baby to 1, Children’s Mercy Hospital Infectious Disease, Genetics and Antibiotics Community Advisory Boards, University of Missouri-KC Faith Initiatives, KU Medical Center Faith Works, Recruitment Innovation Center(RIC) National Advisory Board of Vanderbilt University and Meharry Medical College and Patient and Investigator’s Voices Organizing Together (PIVOT) of KU Cancer Center and Midwest Cancer Alliance.
Broderick has been a member of the New Bethel Church since 1974 having served as a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Staff, Men’s Ministry, Health & Wellness Ministry and Altar Evangelism. Broderick is a long time member of the National Week of Prayer for the Healing of HIV/AIDS in Kansas City, Advocate for the Arthritis Foundation and most recently a Mayoral appointee to the KCMO HIV Planning Council.
Broderick serves as the President of the Missouri Prostate Cancer Coalition and is a former Board Member of the National Alliance of State Prostate Cancer Coalitions. Broderick is also a Kansas Leadership Center Champion and has also served as a board member of the 8th St. YMCA, Duchesne/Caritas Clinics. KC United and Better Together, Inc.
Broderick has a Bachelor of Science degree and is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc Broderick is a frequent presenter. Recent presentations include; Unity Conference in 2017, Intersection of Faith & Health 2017, Families USA 2018 and Chronic Disease Alliance of Kansas (CDAK) 2018
