Broderick Crawford is a consummate community volunteer, dedicated to assisting and improving the lives of those who are less fortunate. Broderick has over 30 years of experience in the Health Care Industry. Broderick currently serves as the Executive Director of the NBC Community Development Corporation in Kansas City, KS
Broderick’s experience includes roles as Community Health Director for NBC CDC, Supervisor, Ancillary Services for Saint Luke’s Internal Medicine and Clinic Supervisor for KU Infectious Diseases as well, as the Clinic Supervisor of The Heart Clinic. Mr. Crawford has worked tirelessly to improve outcomes, understanding and relationships between Health Care Professionals and the communities they serve.
Broderick has served in many roles in Health Research. This includes Clinical Trials Coordinator at KU and “The Heart Clinic” and Coordinator of Focus Groups for NBC CDC. Mr. Crawford continues to assist with obtaining and reporting outcomes of clinical trial subjects and promoting awareness of research among African American and Latino populations.
Broderick has been a member of the New Bethel Church since 1974 serving as a member of the Board of Directors, Men’s Ministry, Health & Wellness Ministry and Altar Evangelism. Broderick is a long time member of the National Week of Prayer for the Healing of HIV/AIDS in Kansas City, Advocate for the Arthritis Foundation and most recently a Mayoral appointee to the KCMO HIV Planning Council.
Broderick serves as the President of the Missouri Prostate Cancer Coalition and is a former Board Member of the National Alliance of State Prostate Cancer Coalitions. Broderick serves on numerous community organizations including; Mid America Regional Council Community Health Worker Executive Committee and Advisory Collaborative, Latino Health for All, Jersey Creek Renovation and Expansion Team, UG Healthy Communities Wyandotte Infrastructure Action Team and FIMR, WyCo SAP, MOCSA and Kansas Leadership Center Champion to name a few. Broderick also serves as a board member of the 8 th St. YMCA, Duchesne/Caritas Clinics. KC United and Better Together, Inc.
Broderick’s community involvement also include the KC Faith Initiatives (UMKC) , Faith Works (KU) and CMH Community Engagement Community Advisory Board and the Infectious Diseases Community Broderick has a Bachelor of Science degree and is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
